Appeal for Project Roshni

The first electric light was made in 1800 by Humphry Davy, an English scientist, but unfortunately it hasn’t reached to every human being in last 211 yrs. We at Rotary club of Nagpur has pledged to light 500 homes through Project Roshni, wherein solar lights will be provided to the homes where there is no electricity.
These lamps come with a Solar Panel, the unit is charged during the day with sunlight and used in the evening for as many as 16 hrs. With a reasonably long life of 3-5 yrs., these lights have already changed the lives of many.
You can contribute Rs.600/- per light or in multiples thereof, all the members who have not contributed for the Project Roshni are once again requested to send their contribution in cash or cheque to Hon. Sec. Dinesh Naidu or Rtn. Vipul Gupta (9823012675). Donations are welcome from general public as well.
This project was conceived after Mr. Yatendra Agrawal of EcoSolutions (NGO) visited our club as speaker for a weekly meeting and informed the Rotarians about the work they are doing in remote villages where electricity hasn’t reached yet.
Looking forward to generous contributions from all the Rotarians and their friends and family.
