Computer Education for Slum Residents

In today’s era of great technological progress, computer education is considered to be a necessity. The Slum Development Committee has added another feather to its cap by fulfilling its agenda of providing free basic, computer education to the residents of Krishna Nagar Slums at their doorsteps.
The committee with the aid of Datta Meghe Foundation have started a computer education program which has got an overwhelming response. The camp was inaugurated by Pres.Tauby Bhagwagar. A 30 seater bus which is fully equipped with computers has been provided by Shri. Sameer Meghe for the noble cause. The computer bus is stationed at Krishna Nagar Slums 5 days a week from 4:30pm to 6:30pm.
As of now, 70 students are enrolled in 2 batches for the computer course of one month duration and there is a long queue in waiting of many more enthusiastic students. The added advantage of this project for the slum dwellers is, this service is provided at their doorstep. Result of which there is no strain on either their pockets or time. And in the long run this can provide them with better job opportunities.
The inauguration was graced by Pres. Tauby, Dir. Shahrukh, Vanita Shukul and Anita Jain. Chairpersons Bhavna Kalra, Ragini Sahu, Neerja Shukul and Smita Chaubey were also present on the occasion.
